'Tis The Season To Be Thankful
Thanksgiving Season is a special time for us. The only reason we can't count our blessings is because we cannot count that high!! I am reminded of Thanksgivings past and am looking forward to the present one.
I have a special reason to be thankful this year. I have kept company with a very painful hip for several weeks. I was pretty sure if I ignored it, the pain would go away. That didn't happen so finally I took my hip to the Dr. The X-rays were of no help so I trekked over to an orthopedist who sent me for an MRI. I was very anxious as the pain was very similar---though not identical--- to the pain I suffered 3 years ago when an MRI, at that time, revealed a fracture in my right hip. The pain this time is in my left hip. Words cannot express my gratitude yesterday when I went for the results of the MRI and was told there was NO fracture and very, very little arthritis. The problem most likely is bursitis and the shot I was given should give me some relief in a few days. Talk about grateful!!! There would never be a convenient time to "hobble" around but this week and next week were certainly not choice times. I tried to picture myself trying to prepare food for our special guests while on a walker and not able to put any weight on my leg which is what I had to do for 6 weeks, 3 years ago. Is God good or what??? I cannot thank Him enough.
Now I can get on with my plans and my shopping and looking forward to our guests.
Love and thanks,
Dortha
