Grandmother,

I do like reading the stories of your mother, keep them coming. It's great to read how times have changed and what generations before us did to get by. She sounds like she was very resourceful (magazines for wallpaper) and she wanted to give you what you wanted (white polish on black shoes) . . .even though I haven't met her, she can teach me a lot on how to teach my own daughters about hard work, providing a loving home life, and encouragement. She couldn't have imagined that her actions would someday be shared to countless people across the country.

I might not comment a lot, but I read every day or two. Plus, I'm sure we'll have some good Thanksgiving pictures to post next week!!!

Kim
