We have had all of the above. Torrential downpours that seemingly would not stop. We probably have received 3" of rain since late yesterday. So far we have not lost power. Much of Springfield has no power. I understand the storms have moved on South of us now, although I still hear thunder in the distance. Courtney had to take an out-of-the-way drive to work this morning as a tree is down across the road at the top of our hill.
Merrel announced last evening that his prayers were being answered. I asked what he had prayed for. He said, "Rain." My response, "Well, I prayed for rain also so how do you know it was an answer to your prayer and not mine!!!" We are very, very thankful for a nice, much needed rain.
Kim, I am very sorry and sympathetic concerning your poison ivy/hives. I can only imagine how miserable you are and I do hope the medication is helping. I suffer from it sometimes when I haven't even been close to any vines. The wind can blow it in my direction and I know it is NO fun. Your dad knows all about that also. I think he got his on the golf course. I hope you are enjoying your leisurely week--no husband and no children. The house must be very quiet.
I must get busy.
Love you,
Dortha
