Sunny Thursday!!

Today is a typical Fall day----bright sunshine and just about right temps. We are promised the temperature to be in the 70's for the rest of the week. That is soooo good. It will save our propane. We have been so blessed with all the sunshine that helps to warm our house.

Still no news worthy of sharing on Holland Hill. Life is good and we are well. No complaints here.

I told you a few weeks ago that Devin had been promoted to Assistant Manager of a store near us. He is glad to be back on familiar soil and we are glad we can see him more often than when he was 6 hours away. I was in the area of his store last week and thought I would see if he were on duty and doing his job well. I walked up and down, up and down, up and down each aisle in that huge store and NO DEVIN to be seen. I decided I might as well get my groceries and head for home. I turned one more corner, saw the back side of a tall, neat, young man. Wasn't sure at all if it were Devin but as I moved more closely, he turned my way enough for me to recognize him so I moved in a little closer and said, "I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE ASSISTANT MANAGER, PLEASE"!!!! He was somewhat shocked and said, "Grandmother, what are you doing here." He was doing his job well and the store is fortunate to have such a fine young man as their assistant manager.

Kim, I am so sorry about your poison ivy. I am sure you are miserable. I hope you are healing. I can share your pain. I have suffered with it many times over the years.

That's all for today.

Love to all,
Dortha
