Party's Over!!!

Yes, the party is over but the memories linger. You should have been here!!!

Guests began arriving on Friday. G.J. and Meagan were here all day. Jaron and Devin arrived late afternoon----so the party began!!! We had an evening meal with these 4 plus Sherlyn, Courtney, Jan, Merrel and me (Dortha). On Saturday, Bill, "
Darla, Andrew and Kristen arrived. We felt sad when Ron called Sat. evening to say he would not be able to attend on Sunday. He had a job that wouldn't wait. We were glad, however, that Vicky could be with us.

Sooooo Sunday, by 1:00, the chicken was fried, potaotes were cooked and mashed, gravy was made, green beans and corn were ready, carrots were cooked, apple crisp was ready to come out of the oven and the rolls went in. Jan made a nice green/red salad and the "march" began. I asked Devin to show Carley how we do it here!!! So they lead the pack. We wound up with 14 around the dining room table----expected 15 but Ryan didn't make it. Imagine, if you can, the continuous conversations and lots of memories and happy thoughts were shared. I don't have the pictures downloaded so you will see them later. Just thought you shouldn't have to wait to hear about the happy occasion.

I have to stop now as it is time for me to fix lunch for my granddaughter, Courtney. Jan thinks I might be spoiling her but I think she deserves all the attention I give her. She is a very special young lady and it is a pleasure to have her eat lunch with us each day.

To be continued!!!!

Thanks to all who had a part in making our day so wonderful. I am so thankful for our family and how everyone seems to enjoy being together.

Dortha
