Mackinac Island

Here a few shots from our trip to Mackinac Island at the beginning of the month.

This is looking out across the field in front of the Grand Hotel. Mom, does it look familiar? The movie Somewhere in Time had a couple scenes down there. The ivy sculptures below are of a horse and carriage, which is how you get around the island, since cars are not allowed!
Molly in fron of the Grand Hotel, the largest summer hotel in the country. It is a unique experience.

A friend of mine captioned this photo, "I Coley" . . .which is exactly how he would say it.

This garden was at a restaurant we stopped at on the way home.

The kids and Lacey, who we took along as a babysitter while we golfed. This is the harbor at Mackinac, where the boats and ferrys pull in.

I would recognize the yard a little bit more if the grand stairs were in the picture. I recognize the hotel in the background of Molly's picture. Looks like a great trip and some great kiddos!!! Vicky
